Sara & Eric :: MARRIED

What a special day for this adorable couple! Sara and I went to church together so we knew each other for several years and she would hang out with my little guys downstairs. It was really exciting to share this special day with her.  We began the day getting her hair done by her favorite hairdresser.  During family portraits I was able to capture this funny moment of all the guys playing their "mobile devices". LERVE IT!

I'm so thrilled to have been able to help capture their beautiful day and can't wait to see all that is in store for their future.  Wish you two the best!

Can you say HOTNESS....This bride was sizzling w/ not only beauty, but grace and emotion!

MY FABULOUS SECOND SHOOTER JENNIFER GEER! She rocked her first day working with me. She not only captured fabulous shots, but she helped so much in helping the day run very smoothly.

      The weather was incredible after the monsoon that passed through the city. I remember when Meg and I first met, I added that it appears I have a special deal with MOTHER NATURE that when I'm shooting a wedding she sets it up REAL NICE for me. Meg and I joked on her day that she was going to call me a liar because it didn't appear like it was headed that way, but sure enough sunny skies for the fabulous couple.

   This bride was not without grace throughout the entire day making sure everyone was having a great time. Meghann and PJ congrats to you in sharing your life together and thanks for letting me be a part of it!!!

A very bright and sunny day at the farm for this couple. They were so amazing and we had a blast running around the lake and even their precious Lilly wanted to go swimming with the ducks. So cute. I had to put this collage together of this series of shots on the swinging bench. Thanks to Derrick's mom for holding up a reflector for me in the bright sun!! Loves.

The Stork Revisited

 Growing up I remember images of my childhood. In books, the stork was a symbol of good luck and maternal values. I found this vintage postcard of the stork being portrayed as a villain. This just cracked me up. It's amazing to me how you can be creative with photography options. I personally like to keep my pictures for the most part true but once in awhile, I like to add a twist to my images. This past session was no exception. My beautiful friend Kassy is expecting her first child. She chose a vintage feel with her outfits and asked me to add a feel in my editing. Her husband was a great sport in going along with all my silly jokes and antics. These are some of my favorites.

Haleigh & Zachary -Engaged!

If there was a cuter couple in love, I want someone to share because working with these two is why I love my job!! Sometimes it may have felt a little like a game of Twister, but you two were the best sports. We met at the Pagoda downtown Evansville and spent the morning laughing. As part of my wedding package you receive a free engagement session. I find this gives us time to get to know each other and pin down your style. Zachary is in boxing, so we had to break the ice with the gloves. They will have pink in their wedding colors, it just so happened that when I asked Zach to bring his gloves, he had a pink pair for Haleigh. My kind of people.

SwitchaRoo

Santa brought me a Nikon D300 for Christmas. This beauty is amazing. Not only did a get a new pro body camera, but I also received a full day of training on how to use it. Why the switch from Canon to Nikon?

*the wedding photographer I train with uses Nikon. I wanted to make sure that when I helped her out for the day, I wasn't refreshing my learning skills all over again because if you know Canon and Nikon are pretty much opposite when it comes to putting lenses on, settings, and other things. Just easier. Also I really love the quality images I'm getting with this baby. It just made sense for me. I really enjoyed using Canon and for the most part this was my main reason.  I'm looking forward to what this means as far as bringing better quality over all to my images. See for yourself.

Can I say how amazing this family was today! Had a blast chasing the little guy around. 

 This was in their own backyard, which can make for the best sessions.  The forecast wasn't promising and we almost canceled, but we held out and the overcast sky was just perfect.

 Can we say HOT TAMLES? Yes.
